Q: What is a PPi?

A: PPi stands for Pre-Purchase inspection.

Q: How much does a pre-purchase inspection cost?

A: Our mobile pre-purchase car inspection report & iNeedaPPi condition score is only $149 + applicable taxes. 

Q: What cities does iNeedaPPi operate in?

A: We currently have inspectors in and around Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Victoria, Hamilton, Guelph and we’re expanding every day.

Q: Do I have to be there for the inspection?

A: No. While you’re welcome to be present, please understand that our inspectors arrive at the vehicles location, complete the inspection, then leave to the next inspection. They won’t have time to discuss the inspection in person.  Also, since we review each report internally we may occasionally add to the report so we recommend waiting the 1-2 hours until you receive your report to make your decision. All information will be included in the report and we are available to answer any questions you may have afterwards. 

Q: What if the vehicle I book an inspection on sells before the inspection has started?

A: You can choose to cancel your order for a full refund for any reason up to 1 hour before the scheduled start of the inspection. 

Q: Is same-day service guaranteed?

A:  We do our absolute best to get to every inspection as quickly as possible but we rely on the owner/sellers availability so we cannot guarantee that your inspection will be done same-day. In most cases if you order before 1pm we will inspect the vehicle the same-day.

Q: Do I have to schedule the inspection/coordinate between the seller and iNeedaPPi?

A: No. We take care of all scheduling/coordinating with the seller to get the inspection done ASAP. Just let them know we’ll be contacting them and then sit back and wait for your iNeedaPPi inspection report & condition score to arrive via email.

Q: How long before I receive my iNeedaPPi inspection report & condition score?

A: You will receive your report via email 1-2 hours after we complete the inspection. We are then available by email, text or phone to answer any questions you may have. 

Q: What if I need an inspection on a vehicle that is located in a city that iNeedaPPi doesn’t cover?

A: We will make every effort to get to any vehicle anywhere. If the vehicle is located further than roughly 50kms from a city that we operate in, there could be a travel fee to cover our inspectors travel only. We will discuss any additional charges with you before we begin the inspection and refund you fully if you choose not to go forward. Please email us with any questions info@ineedappi.ca.

Q: What if I want something specific checked out that isn’t already part of the inspection?

A: Put your special request in the comments section of the checkout. We will make every effort to fulfill your request.

Q: Do dealerships allow on-site pre-purchase inspections?

A: Yes, we inspect vehicles at dealerships all the time. Just provide us with their contact details and we’ll take care of the rest. 

Q: How long does the inspection take?

A: Once we are at the vehicle the inspection will take approximately 60 minutes.

Q: How long after the inspection is completed will I receive my report?

A: You will receive your report via email 1-2 hours after the inspection is completed on-site. If you haven’t received it please check your spam inbox and/or contact us via website chat or info@ineedappi.ca 

Q: Can I purchase a warranty after the inspection?

A: Yes! We have warranties starting at only $49 for 3 months/3000kms of coverage.  Get more information here.
